Electricity Market Pricing And Power Generation Tender For Countermeasures

With the fast development of electricity markets, establishing a reasonable pricing system become more and more important to keep markets well running. Especially after the failing of California electricity market, the uniform market clearing pricing system is doubted.First, the background of restructuring of the power industry and the current developments of electricity markets in many countries are introduced in this paper. And the fundamental concepts and theories of economics, the strategies of bidding and several pricing systems are described.Then the difference of generator benefit, payment of PX and price of marginal generator under two pricing systems i.e. in California and in England are analyzed by mathematic reasoning and doing quantity of experiments. And some importantand valuable conclusions are got based on computer simulation results.At last the paper discusses the development of technology support system of electricity market.
