The Marxist Critique Of Modernity Reflection

Firstly, this dissertation tries to illustrate that it is the Marxist reality that contributes most to the reflection of modernity. The reality of Marxism is based on the reality of the late stages of the capitalistic countries. Marxism is still the most powerful idealistic weapon in these days. Along with the growing globalization, the combination of the contradictions among the economies, politics and cultures makes it most necessary and exigent for Marxism not only to exist but also to thrive, which is also titled as "Postmodern Capitalism would be in a certain to introduce its contradictory桵arxism". It is just the reason why some pioneer theoreticians in the world go back to Marx again, voluntarily and decisively, in spite of the political background of the world-the "glorious victories" of the capitalistic world and the obscuration prospect of Socialism and Communism. They demonstrate Marxism's reality with personal practice and theoretical criticisms. All their significant works contribute to the disclosing of the great importance of Marxism to modern society from various aspects.The misuse of the instrumentalism theory and the crisis of the Modernity result from the three important contradictions imbedded in the Modernity, and as a result, drag the modern philosophy into an unconquerable muddy marsh of solipsism. Accordingly, this dissertation mainly concentrates on five different ways of the Modernity reflection in Marxism. The first is ontologicalcriticism by rejecting the metaphysics, the oneness and the non-contradiction. The second is a "thorough breakthrough from methodological solipsism", on the ground of the disclosure of intermediary role of the practice and the practical conversion of the modern philosophy. The third is the selective scientific rationalism, based on the construction of history rationality, so as to create and expatiate the Historical Materialism. The fourth is the historical liberation of the diversity from the inevitability, as well as the deliberate demonstration of the multi-angle and non-linear characters of the historical evolution from various aspects, by criticizing the historical conceptions from modernistic ideology. Last but not the least, Max outlined the motive and the future of the human beings, extricated us from the aspiration to the metaphysics, and turned the philosophy back to human's life (the real material life). He managed to find out the practical essence of the whole social lives and also the strength of this implemental progress-the proletariats whose struggle for revolution had been proved to be the real approach of the people's liberation.As a whole, Marxism is the only idealistic bridge that connects the Modernity with the Post modernity, the unsurpassable theory in its significance. Therefore, we are in duty bound to associate theoretic with facts to enrich the meaning of Marxism, make it vivid and vigorous. Hence, people would be glad to return to Marxism, that is, accept the back of it agreeably.
