XunZi drew on collective wisdom and absorbed all useful ideas of Pre-Qin dynasty. He formed his "Xun" school which represented the benefit of the newly-born lord-class and had its independent system. His economic thinking opened up a new direction after the unification of Qin. Xun's economic idea faced up to the reality and exposed contradictions. His breadth of spirit was great and his field of vision was wide. The theory of Wealth is the center of Xun's economic thinking. All of his expositions about economic problems revolved around it . The first part of this thesis introduced the base of the wealth theory -materialism. The second part expounded the scope of the theory-to enrich the state and benefit the people, and the latter was the basis. The third and the forth part analyzed the way to the wealth-strengthening agriculture and practicing thrift. The next part analyzed the importance of the theory of making courtesy and share. At last, this thesis descripted the application of XunZi's wealth theory and analyzed its meaning and the far-reaching influence .Xun's penetrating and new theory stressed people's subjective activities and absorbed the strong points of Ru and Fa. This made it have an important influence to the people of both the two schools during the period from ZhanGuo to Qin and Han dynasty. Hanfei and Lisi, who had played key roles in the founding and governing of Qin,and JiaYi, who was one of the scholars of Ru that made a great influence in the earlier stage of Han dynasty were all Xun's students. Later, many famous politicians had been influenced by both Ru and Fa. Xun's governing methods were also adopted and used which had not only become a powerful weapon for the lord-class at that time to develop andstrengthen the feudal economy but also influenced the whole history of Chinese feudal society. The research of his economic thinking is also useful to today's economic construction.
