The author first summarized the current situations in traditional economy and the development of E-commerce in Wuxi areas, and then drew the conclusion that it is feasible to develop E-commerce in Wuxi areas through analysis and inference from the angle of the circumstances in which for enterprises to develop E-commerce during their informationizations; from the angle of the enterprises' economic power and their own level of understanding; from the angle of the government' s support; from the angle of the present trained talents and from the angle of the analysis of the profit of cost and so on. In this article E-commerce is sorted into two parts, the B2B and B2C , and two typical businesses in the areas are analysed and synthesized. As for the B2B, the author emphasized on the household applicances and foreign export trade businesses there, and for the B2C, the author emphasized on the general merchandise sales and tourist businesses. In the end, the author also sum up the strategies appliable to the general enterprises in Wuxi areas.
