The communication of the regional tourist image is the inevitable phenomenon which produced from the course of the tourist development. It is also the inevitable result of the keen tourist market competition. According to the summarize of the internal and external regional tourist image and communication research, this paper applys synthetically the knowledge of the tourism research and the communication research and analyzes the characteristic of the communication research of the regional tourist image, including the information characteristic, information symbol of the regional tourist image, the accepter of the regional tourist image and the medium analyse of the regional tourist image. This paper trys to choose the medium of the communication of regional tourist image, plot communication, evaluate the result of the communication and make some examples.First of all, this paper analyzes the internal and external regional tourist image research and communication research, among which, it mainly gives three stages -the first stage is "nature" tourist image research, the second is "artificial" tourist image research, the third stage is many different scientific theories research the tourist image.Secondly, according to the summarize of the former research harvest, this paper points out the concept of the regional tourist image and regional tourist communication.Thirdly, from the angle of the communication, this paper analyzes the characteristic of the communication research of the regional tourist image, including the information characteristic, information symbol of the regional tourist image, the accepter of the regional tourist image and the medium analyse of the regional tourist image.Fourthly, This paper trys to choose the medium of the communication of regional tourist image, plot communication, evaluate the result of the communication and make some examples.Fifthly, After the research of the theories and practices, it summarizes and retrospects the problems and limitations of this research, discusses the research tendency and prospect of this matter.
