In recent years,with the improvement of the overall strength of our country,the regional economy and society have been developed rapidly.The shaping and dissemination of regional image has a role in promoting the development of regional economy and society.As an important carrier of displaying regional image,large-scale conference activities play an increasingly important role in shaping and spreading regional image.The successful holding of China ASEAN Education Exchange Week has become an important platform for cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.As the host of "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week",Guizhou has become an important window to publicize and display the regional image of Guizhou by means of the news report and publicity of the conference.Therefore,the research on the news report of "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week" is of great theoretical and practical significance for the better dissemination of Guizhou regional image.In this study,statistical analysis,content analysis and case analysis are used to select the news reports of "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week" from the mainstream media in Guizhou Province as the research content,analyze the effect and deficiency of the media in the construction and communication of the regional image of Guizhou in large-scale conference activities,summarize the strategies of the mainstream media in the news reports of large-scale conference activities,which provides reference for manufacturing and communication of the regional image.The thesis consists of five parts:The first part mainly describes the research background of the paper,about the regional image,the evolution of Guizhou regional image and the related research of the media on the construction and communication of regional image.The second part introduces the general situation of "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week",including the origin and development of "Education Week" and the project characteristics formed in the development process.The third part is the media’s analysis of the "Education Week" news reports.This paper mainly discusses the choice of the news media,and analyzes the relevant reports of the "Education Exchange Week" by the selected news media.Through the establishment of category structure,starting with statistical analysis,this paper analyzes the content of the report from six levels: the number of reports,the types of reports,the layout of reports,the tendency of reports,the topics of reports,and the sources of news,and analyzes the characteristics of the activities of the "Education Exchange Week" reported by the mainstream media in Guizhou province: Colorful Guizhou Net and Guiyang News Net,are especially with a large number of reports and rich topics;Guizhou Channel of Xinhua Net and Guizhou Channel of People’s Network have a single report topic,focusing on the general situation of "Education Week";While Guizhou Daily has a more prominent report in genre and layout,and more special reports are used to present the content.The fourth part mainly discusses the construction and dissemination of regional image by news media reports.Through the news report of "China ASEAN Education Exchange Week",Guizhou province has established the image of "an important education town",which plays an important role in improving regional influence and shaping regional image.The fifth part is the reflection and strategy of Guizhou regional image communication.It summarizes the main problems in the process of media reporting: the imbalance of the number of the first report;the single topic of the second report;the serious polarization between the third media in the process of reporting.Through the summary of the above issues,the media should strengthen the interoperability in the future,and report as comprehensively as possible on the number of reports and topics,so as to meet the feelings of different audience groups using the media.
