Nanjing Urban Informal Employment Research

This thesis mainly deals with the informal employment in Nanjing town.Informal employment is different from formal employment. Because of its flexibility and the effect of reducing unemployment rate and lightening poverty, informal employment brings a global wave. At first part of the paper, the basic notion of informal employment and the theory of informal employment are discussed. The article brings forward a model and uses it to analyze the association between employment, informal employment and formal employment. It also calculates the number of informal employment in Nanjing town.Based on the discussion of relation between marketing and the development of informal employment, this text discusses the problems that embarrass the development of informal employment in Nanjing town and its causation. The article expatiates that the high risk of unemployment is the ultimate reason. Reforming to the experience of government assistance of global society and Shanghai city, the thesis puts forward its basic countermeasures from the sides of the common informal employment and informal labor organization.Finally, the article fatherly discusses the concept and the measuring of informal employment; it also discusses policy equilibrium between the criterion and the development of informal employment.
