Holding an extremely important place in the socialist market economy, banks are the financial center for currency and credit affairs. Crimes committed by bank employees are considered a grave illegal act. The bank staff may take advantage of their privilege for illegal operation, which could lead to great losses of bank capital. Meanwhile, financial order would become chaotic and eventually result in a financial crisis. This is a new type of white-collar crime with tremendous destruction that has received critical attention by many nations in the course of world financial unification. Currently, China is financially pacing toward market and globalization gradually. Crimes committed by people inside banks are an increasingly serious problem. Due to its late appearance, there is so far not much research on this subject in our country.Based on large amount of material and works, the paper will summarize the present situation of crimes committed by bank employees, explore the causes behind those crimes through criminological and economics means and make analysis of prevention factors. The law system construction, internal control mechanism and other ways will also be referred to for the remedy of the situation.
