On The Scientific And Technological Innovation And Social Progress

The relationship between science and technology innovation and social development is discussed from two aspects. On one hand, science and technology promotes the development of society because of its role in the development of social civilization, of human being's all-round development and of society's sustainable development. On the other hand, social development restrains the innovation of science and technology in political, economical and cultural way. Side-effects brought by modern high-technology are also examined in this article as to show clearly the essence of science and technology. Finally, further investigations are given to some new internal problems of China's science and technology innovation.
