After Accession To The Wto, China's Urban Employment Research

Employment is a foundation of the people"' s livelihood. China has numerous populations and abundant workforce resource. The employment question of China has already involved not only the fundamental right that people survive and develop but also national political stabilization and social stability directly. Meanwhile, the solving employment problem of China is a cross-centennial difficult problem. It has not only general quantity contradiction that workforce' s supply exceeds demand but also a structural unemployment problem that appears while industrial structure is adjusted; It has not only a question of redundant staff that appears in a similar country system transition but also a question of rural transfer of surplus labor that is similar to developing countries. After joining WTO, the new competing environment interweaves existed employment predicament, which has formed a problem in front of our country. Based on auspicious and real statistics, the text analysis influence caused by joining WTO on our country short-term and long-term employment, and system of employment and so on in terms of theory and practice. So we can know clearly: the accession to the WTO will influence the employment of our country from many aspects, positive role and negative consequence coexist, and theopportunity and challenge coexist.Third part: Countermeasure of managing the unemployment and expanding employment in the cities and towns of our country after entering the WTO. Through analysis of the current situation and existing problem of present employment of our country, define the contents that the employment question of our country includes, introduce academia measures to control unemployment and propose counterraeasure of managing the unemployment and expanding employment in the cities and towns of our country after entering the WTO.
