Financial advisory business is one of the intermediary services commercial banks engage in. In China, the accelerating of state-owned asset management systematic reform and the deepening of investment and financing systematic reform create large demand for financial advisory business of commercial bank. While China's banking sector is confronted with fierce competition and great challenge from home and overseas, financial advisory business is a feasible business for commercial banks to enrich intermediary services. Financial advisory services will bring considerable profit to commercial banks, what's more, it is significant for commercial banks to avoid non-performing and bad assets, adjust credit structure, extend business scope and financial innovation.There is deep demonstration about the problems in the thesis. The first chapter: The theoretical basis on which commercial banks engage in financial advisory business. This chapter contains concept and type of financial advisory services and the explanation on financial advisory business in the perspective of economics of scopes. The second chapter: the practical analysis of financial advisory business. This chapter includes the analysis of demand, necessity and feasibility of financial advisory business as well as two cases to demonstrate the feasibility in the end. The third chapter: the orientation and the specific practice of financial advisory business. This chapter mainly embodies the practicality of this thesis. The fourth chapter: the status, problems and suggestion on China's commercial banks' operation of the financial advisory business.
