In the 1990s, the booming of plastics processing industry had spurred on the requirement of PO resin and almost all the domestic PO installation production had surmount the designed capacity. Along with China's entrance of WTO, the petrochemical industry in the foreign countries, especially Asian countries (areas), has been developing rapidly. The production capacity of PO has been increased to a great extent and the competition to contend market portion has been becoming more and more fierce. Many countries in south-east Asia have changed from net-import countries to net-export ones, which makes domestic Po market feel great pressure. In recent years, the recession of global economy and the low ebb of petrochemical market have exacerbated the dumping of petrochemical products by the large petrochemical enterprises. Large amount of PO resin of high quality and low price rushing into domestic market has great impact the domestic PO market and manufacturers. Confronting this situation, the domestic PO manufacturers must consider the problems of participating the market competition and the self survival and developmentThis article fully analysis's the interior and exterior environment Liaoyang Petrochemical Fiber company(LPFC) of PO resin of market situation and opportunities and challenges confronted after China's entering the WTO, drafts the PO resin marketing strategy of LPFC using marketing theory, superiority, inferiority, challenge and opportunity analysis methods.In this artic, the author believes that the PO product structure in our country has relatively obvious contradiction between surplus and structural shortage. LYFC should energetically adjust the product structure, develop. Do resin specialized materials as import substitute. At the same time, reinforce interior management, expand market and increase the self competition capacity.
