The success of biding for 2008 Olympic Games will accelerate the economic development of our country. Since 1984's Los Angeles Olympic Games, all the games bring benefit for the hosting cities. The economic advantages of Olympic Games are not only increasing the construction of basic establishments, but also promoting correlative non-cargo industries.Beijing and Tianjin are highest modernized city in the area of Big Beijing Economic Circle. Their economic development standard, investment environment, scientific research standard and labor force's character are higher than other districts. Through the analysis of the economic statement between Beijing and Tianjin, we found that the two cities show different development tendency and complement each other. Tianjin borders Beijing and is one of cities that host 2008 Olympic Games. During the phase of hosting event, the flowing of people, technique and funds will influence the Tianjin's non-cargo industries.Adopting regional economic theory and taking the data as the foundation, the paper analyzes the statement of main Tianjin's non-cargo industries, and then predicts the development trends and the obstacles. The paper also gives some suggestions for further developing Tianjin's non-cargo industries.On the other hands, when the investments call off because of the end of Olympic Games, the bigger shock can be aroused in the hosting cities. It is sure that Tianjin will appear this situation. The paper analyzes the programming of Beijing Olympic Games and the experience of other hosting cities and point out measures to guarantee the economic development in Tianjin city.
