| Since the Reform and Open Policy is being into effect in the late of 1970s, the progress of the urban aggregation is rapidly developing. With the Economic structure in rural area becoming reasonable and work productivity being enhanced, there is much more and more abundant labor force. In order to improve their life situation, they choose to float into city. As the biggest economic culture and political center in china, Beijing and shanghai are the destination for many abundant labor force in rural area who want to go to work in city. Through comparing the difference and equality of the scale and structure (such as space structure, career structure and age structure) of the floating population in Beijing and shanghai, this paper provides some law of the floating population in the whole provinces in china. Meanwhile followed by the No29 Olympic Games and the World Exposition be performed in this two cities, the basic building will create lots of job opportunities which are propitious to floating population in tradition. If it will attract much more floating population, this paper provides simply forcast answer.Many socialists and economists paid more attention to population floating along with the growth of floating population. But those studies always emphasized the explication and description of the floating reasons,characteristic,and social and economical impact of population floating. The research of the commonness and rule of floating population on large cities has been in lack condition for a long time, this paper will make up the efficiency of this field. Moreover, from the angle of economic developing this paper will emphasize on the impact of the floating population and economic development. Finally the study of floating population to the contribution rate to city economic and the simple forecast to the floating population by the Olympic Games and the World Exposition are also particular in this paper.
