"wan East" Regional Economic Analysis

The coordinated growth of regional economy is one of the biggest problems in the developing process of national economy and society. The standard and sustainable ability of regional economy are closely related to the general realization of the well-off society and the sustainable development of national economy as well. The Delta of the Changjiang River is the forward position of opening and reform in our country, which comes first of all economic circles in respect of its integrated strength. The regional economy there has developed with tremendous force. Restricted to its own inadequate natural resources, the Delta depends heavily on those from outside. The power shortage in recent years requires us to consider regional economy from all aspects in order to dispose the resources reasonably.As a close neighbor of the Delta, Anhui Province has been given superiority in its location and resources. But for one reason or another, this superiority has not been fully made use of. The gap between Anhui Province and the Delta is becoming wider. It is on the basis of the coordinated growth of regional economy, the realization of the well-off society, the relative superiority the reality that Anhui Provincial Committee and government put forward the strategy of "Transmission of electricity from Anhui Province to East China" .The author first analyzes the situations of the economic developmentof Anhui and the Delta, and then raises his opinions on the effect the strategy has on the merging of the two regions. The author concludes that the strategy of "Transmission of electricity from Anhui Province to East China" is feasible after he analyzes its economic feasibility. In addition, this paper probes into the possible problems emerging in the process of implementation of the strategy, and some solutions are offered by the author.
