Consolidation in hospitality industry will play more and more important role in the future .This thesis discusses the current situations of consolidation in china' s hospitality industry , compared with consolidation in international hospitality industry . It tries to provide some applicable principles for the future development of consolidation in china' s hospitality industry.The thesis consists of four parts as follows:The first part gives a brief introduction to the progress made so far in the research into consolidation in china' s hospitality industry.The second part addresses the general development and the advantage of consolidation in hospitality industry worldwide .The third part is mainly a comparison between typical hospitality conglomerates at home and abroad , that is , Jinjiang Group vs Marriott International .It offers an explanation of the features and the problems in china' s efforts to consolidate hospitality industry .By combining theories with practice .this part makes a good preparation for the conclusion .The conclusion part talks about the principles for the consolidation as well as the strategies applicable in china' s hospitality industry .The principles include the building of geographical distribution networks, branding and proper control of sizes of hotel groups. Consolidation strategies cover two major types of hotel groups .The first type is to form hotel groups by transactions of shares, which usually aim to set up fully-integrated hotel groups by other possible means .finally, it gives some advice on how to improve the level of consolidation in china' s hospitality industry.
