Analysis Of The West Bank And Gaza Jewish Settlements

Peace and development have become the main canto in the world of today. But there being many "musical notes" lacking harmony in the world. The conflict between Palestine and Israel is one of those "musical notes".The conflict leads to some cruxes in the course of it's happen and development. Whether those cruxes being resolved or not directly, they influent the prospect and destiny of the peace between Palestine and Israel. The Jewish settlements in west bank and Gaza strip is one of those cruxes.The matter of Jewish settlement has happened after the 1967war when Israel established many illegal Jewish settle on the occupied territory. The reasons of Israel establishing these settlements are several aspects, for example polities, economy, military and religion and so on.Since being established , these settlements have been developing from simplicity Nahals to some well appointed modern settlement groups with good transport facilities and large population under the support and tacit permission of all kinds of strengthen. But they are "time bombs" to Palestine and Israel. The special effect of these settlements is becoming the "fuse" to the conflict day by day. Establishing these settlements to Israel is "quench a thirst with poison" but to Palestine is "cancer in organism" .so Jewish settlements become one of focus attracting the international society.So studying the reasons of its establishing, its development, influence and prospect is very important to study the conflict and peace in Middle East.The thesis try to discuss the matter of Jewish settlements systematically and fully .On the basis of making an analysis of the reasons of establishing and the developing process and its influence, I present my prospects for the Jewish settlements and summarize the main characteristics of Jewish settlements.The thesis includes five chapters. The first chapter investigates the reason from many aspects such as politics, military, economy and so on.The second chapter presents developing process of settlements in West Bank and Gaza stripe. The third chapter analyzes the influence of those settlements to Israel and Palestine .The fourth chapter presents the prospect of those settlements The fifth chapter summarizes the whole matter from its characteristics of historical, particular, complicated and perennial.By studying those settlements, I think the international society should pay more attention to how to solve the matter. Because no the reasonable solution to Jewish settlements, it is impossible to settle the conflict between Israel and Palestine and it is not imaginable of the Middle East hot spot cooling down. The reasonable solution to the matter will improve the confidence between Israel and Palestine and consequently accelerating the pace of peace process.
