The functions of commercial bank as capital media and payment service are faced with unprecedented challenge in the current information era whose characteristic is the combination of information technology and traditional industries. Network bank, as an outcome of the combination of modern information technology and traditional banking, fueled the new round of rapid development of commercial bank. Although most of China's commercial banks have initiated the combination process regardless of its development stage, few have seen satisfactory outcome of the network bank after tremendous financial, human and material resources have been invested. Instead of being an extension for traditional bank business, some of the network bank has even become another barrier for commercial banks. Therefore the question of how to successfully achieve this goal is still open to discussion and reflection.On the basis of probing into the present situation of network banks, this literature has discussed the problems of network bank in our country, and proposed corresponding strategies including evolving management ethics and mode, facilitating financial innovation, choosing appropriate development strategy, enhance security, adopting middleware and strengthening supervision. Finally, after analyzing the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China' network bank, this article put forward suggestions of further improvement on the network bank based on the researches incorporated in this article.
