Logistics Supply Chain Network Planning Study

With the globalization and distributing of the supply chain operation, modern logistics has become one of the most rapidly developing industries all of the world. While the performance of logistics system mostly lies on the planning of logistics network. The logistics network planning contains two main aspects in general, one is facility location, the other is transportation mode and route selection. This paper firstly analysis the content and meaning of logistics network planning in the Supply Chain (SC) environment, put forward the general thoughtway of logistics network planning, discuss the procedure of planning. Then based on the studying of the theory and method of facility location, a discrete warehouse location model considering scale-economics based on genetic algorithm is established, the algorithm procedure and a example are given, the results shows the model is reasonable and the algorithm is available. Then the selection problem of transportation route is studied. Finally Meiling company's sales logistics network re-planning is shown.
