Municipal public enterprises are the significant components of national companies, which having the function of administrating the city constructing and running. Some of these companies, such as streetlight illumination company, supply public articals to society. With the reform of Changzhou national company is deeper and the opening to the outside world is wider, the development speed of Changzhou municipal public enterprises is obviously faster than before, but the problems of redundant people, low efficiency, bad quality of products and service, high cost of labour are as serious as before. Appearance of the loss of talented people are more and more serious. Compensation administration has been the bottleneck of companies' deveplopment.As having been influenced by the outmoded planned economy for long time, the managers have less knowledge of compensation administration idea and technique and methods. Changzhou municipal public enterprise has several problems in compensation administration, which are following, equalitarianism is current. They have ignored the inherent compensation and have not recongnized the importance of the spiritual reward. The compensation leads to the rigid structure.The way to calculate salary is single. The compensation is decided too greatly by the administrative rank. The job evalation lacks scientificalness. The welfare farmulation lacks flexibility and accordance.This thesis explicates the compensation administration on the bases of compensation and compensation administration conceptions, main compensation theories and salary motivation theories. It analyses the main problems of Changzhou compensation in municipal public enterprises and reasons of economics and administration items, then giving the countermeasures of these problems. Finally, it researches these problems through detail cases.
