Changzhou Agricultural Machinery Manufacturing Competitiveness Study

The aim of Changzhou's industry in future is to become an important base for modern industry in the Yangtze River Delta region, and agricultural machinery making will be one of the seven important sectors of Changzhou's industry. This article has made an analysis on the current situation on the agricultural machinery industry home and abroad, described the competition between the major agricultural machinery enterprises in the country. It also explores the development environment for the agricultural machinery industry from the point of view of government solution to the " questions related with countryside and peasantry and agriculture" and the way to realize the farm machinery. It presumes a bright future for the agricultural machinery.With relative index of industrial competitiveness, the article gives a general evaluation on the major agricultural machinery products in Changzhou. Meanwhile, the article tries to depict the challenges and opportunities following the agriculture structure adjustment and China's entry into the WTO. It predicts the development tendency for the agricultural machinery industry and thus points out the focus on agricultural development for Changzhou.Finally, from view of developing industrial clusters, the article explores the way to improve regional competitiveness with regard to the current situation on the agricultural industries in Changzhou, either on the enterprises and on government's side.
