Starting from analyzing the damage efficiency of nuclear weapons and on the basis of previous works on the nuclear conflict/exchange/war model by other researchers, this paper touches upon the following aspects of research. First, it develops a nuclear conflict simulation model and some analysis methods to study the nuclear deterrence validity in various situations, taking into account practical scales and types of international nuclear arms and the trend of nuclear disarmament, as well as possible posture of current and future nuclear strategy. Second, it tries to analyze, in a systematic way, the damage efficiency of nuclear weapons, the effects of various parameters on the damage efficiency and the mutual relations of these parameters. Third, it studies the effects of some parameters on the nuclear conflict model and the nuclear deterrence validity, such as strategic defense and penetration, the successful rate of disguise of attacking weapons, the number of phony launchers, the launch mode and numbers of nuclear weapons. Finally, using static and dynamic analysis methods it numerically simulates and analyzes the results of nuclear deterrence validity in different conflict scenarios. This paper obtains some quantificational results which could provide more cognition and understanding on issues of nuclear strategy.
