Madison Political Thought

Madison' s political thought has adaptability and advance to the American society taking variety as characteristic at that time, so has influenced and promoted the establishment of U. S. A.'s political system. Madison' s political thought is set up on the basis of classical republicanism theory and modern fraction theory, and influenced the political practice of U.S.A. in era after him far-reachingly. He has put forward the fraction theory taking separation, pinning down and balancing of power as main content, the complex republicanism theory of combining democracy with republicanism, the federal theory taking coordinating central authorities and relation of local government as goal. These theories have affirmed and ensured the plural state of interests of the American society, realize government three-dimension of power restriction, has promoted the steady politics of U.S.A. fully, having offered a key for modern western politics, it is definite to deserve; Meanwhile, its history existing and class' limitation are obvious. Though Madison's political thought was passed in and out to U. S. A.' s social state at that time, but some of thought build to us political civilization of socialism with Chinese characteristics still have office that can draw lessons from today.
