Analysis Of Our Citizens Equal Rights And Their Constitutional Protection

As one of the basic human rights, right of equality should be regulated andsafeguarded by the basic law-constitution. Beginning from the definition of right ofequality, this article analyzes the necessity of constitutional protection of right ofequality, pointing out that constitution can and should be applied and constitutionalprotection of right of equality is necessary both to the safeguard of human rights andcitizen rights and establishment of a harmonized society. This article then analyzed thepresent situation of constitutional protection of equality right in china and points out thedefects in the following six aspects: political equality, educational equality, nationalityequality, sex equality, equality for farmers and employment equality.
