Personal dignity refers to "human" as human beings with the minimum qualifications, and comes from the inherent dignity recognized by human civilization. It is the respect or dignity that everyone should enjoy. Personal dignity is not only the concept with rich religious and philosophical backgrounds, but also the constitutional meaning and value of itself. Personal dignity is intimately connected with civilly personal right, but it is further in the person of public juristic criterion.In the World War ?, trample human dignity ferociously and ignore the essential human right of survival, which has afflicted the whole world people. In real life, the phenomena of infringing personal dignity like sexual harassment and body checks forced occur frequently. As social progress and technology improvement, the new problem related to personal dignity and human rights has arisen, such as optimizing of human race and trial in human beings, etc. However, our constitution and relevant laws provision is vacant or retarded. Though present constitution in 38 title inviolability of personal dignity in our country, we should see that the criterion of personal dignity protection clause obviously is insufficient and restrained, like the short of personal dignity protection clause actively, and inadequate of constitutional relief approach. The paper hackles and takes examples from norms and juridical practices of personal dignity constitutional protection in typical foreign countries (include relevant international conventions). We can take proper measures to perfect constitutional protection of personal dignity, for example, establish protection of personal dignity as one of the basic principles of constitution or better the criterion of personal dignity protection clause, etc.
