| Under the trend of economic globalization, International Trade, known as the 'economic growth engine', is taking up a very important part in the economic development. But at the same time, it also brings a big challenge to the global ecological system. Therefore, the two tides of trade and environment begin to collide and influence each other. The issue between trade and environment is becoming more and more outstanding, goes to the multilateral trend and turns into the focus of the international society.Facing the new tendency and request, WTO, as the biggest multilateral trade organization in the world, begin to pay close attention to the study of trade and environment issue. At Doha conference, this issue was formally accepted to be the new discussion topic in the new round negotiation. WTO hope to look for the best balance way to coordinate trade and environmental relation in the multinational trade system. Under this foundation, the author suggest to reach a new agreement concerned the trade and the environment issue in the new negotiation and discuss the possible content of the new agreement.As the formal member of WTO, our country should observe the trade and environmental rules in WTO strictly and participate in the new round negotiation actively. Due to our ecological system is weak and our foreign trade industry is struck by the green trade barrier, now we have an urgent task that is to learn how to bring about a coordinated development in trade and environment to realize the win-win situation and how to strengthen our position in the negotiation to make a helpful achievement. |
