The employment problem has been perplexed the development of economics and society in China continuously, especially in the transition period of economics system. Resolving the problem of employment successfully will guarantee our society stable, orderly and harmonious. And the social psychological endurance of the unemployed people will not only affects the success of the reform, but also influences the implementation and effect of employment policies. Therefore, researching the social psychological endurance of the unemployed people and its factors is a necessary task to resolve the unemployment problem. But now, few people study it, and the theory about it is neither systematic nor profound. This paper hopes to fill the vacancy, and provide scientific theoretical foundation for the government.The thesis is mainly applied tactics of combination of theory research and empirical research, multi-visual angles, history and logic studying. Based on severe situation of unemployment, the writer discusses the definition and characteristics of social psychological endurance of the unemployed firstly. Then, the writer analyzes the factors affecting social psychological endurance of the unemployed people from the view of economics and psychology theories. The writer also uses empirical research to investigate the actual situations to verify and supplement the theory analysis. Through the analysis, the writer puts forward some suggestions on how to build a policy environment to improve the social psychological endurance of the unemployed people. The suggestions are mainly consisted of improving social security system, constructing relevant supporting system, considering the social psychological endurance of the unemployed people in the system of Unemployment Early-Warning, and promoting employment policies.
