Disparities In Regional Development Of China's Tertiary Industry Analysis

Combining Industrial Economics, Regional Economics and Development Economics, the dissertation makes comparison of the China's tertiary industry's development in different regions. First, we compared China's tertiary industry's development in the different regions using one index. We select two indexes—each person's possess of the GDP3 and each person's output who work in the tertiary industry. With these two indexes, we compared the differentials in three regions—the east China; the midst China; the west China .We found the gap between the east and the other two regions is the biggest one, and the gap in the east area is very big too. In the next part, we set up a set of assessment index system of the tertiary industry, and with the help of the SPSS software we have a dynamic and quantitative analysis of our country's 31 districts'tertiary development. The analyzing outcome reveals that there exists gaps of tertiary'development among the districts, the tertiary development in the east is higher than the west's, and this status has not improved during our observing period. Using the index system of the tertiary industry, with the methods of factor analysis, we have a dynamic and quantitative analysis the tertiary industry development of the 55 mainly cities'in China. The analyzing outcome reveals that there exists gaps of the tertiary industry development among the cities, the tertiary development in the cities which have the privileges in communication and policies is better than the others cities'. We also found that the tertiary industry development is affected by the second industry's development.
