In our country, all knows the keen competition of the cell-phone market. The development of the market competition pattern of the cell-phone can be divided into two stages: The first stage was 1987 - 1995, in this period; Motorola was on the cusp on the Chinese cell-phone market. Or Motorola is the first foreign brand that enters the Chinese mobile communications industry. At present, the main competing for between these two operators of mobile communication one is the competition of the key technology, on one hand CHINAUNICOM leads the main card --CDMA, China Mobile advances the networking of GSM and market development of degree in a more cost-effective manner actively on the other hand.The GSM cell-phone is because of historical reasons, its development has been already quite ripe in recent years, from market, it has occupied most markets, all production firms nearly all produce the GSM cell-phone too, . Therefore on terms that high-speed Internet develops, no matter technological advantage or market advantage, GSM cell-phones are all very outstanding, relatively CDMA is ripe. The development of and CDMA technology is only the time in the past two years. On August 30, 2001, CHINAUNICOM united 19 that Ministry of Information Industry sanctioned and got CDMA manufacturer producing license, have shown that is suitable for the new style CDMA cell-phone of the network of new space-time of UNICOM. Promise, the first stage of CDMA network will start formally at the end of 2001, the total amount of the project is Line 15,150,000 at the same time, the network covers 31 provinces in the whole country (city), nearly 300 cities of the autonomous region. Regarding this as the sign, we can think: The mobile communication market entered the era that GSM and CDMA were competed for in an all-round way from then on!
