Reengineering The Core Competitiveness Of State-owned Commercial Banks

According to the relevant regulations of WTO, our country will open the financial trade in an all-round way in 2006, China-invested Bank will compete with the foreign capitals bank on the fair, reciprocity basis when the time comes, seeing that unique status in our country's banking of four major state-run commercial banks and function of stressing, enhancing four banks reform and raising four banks competitiveness have become the key of Chinese Bank vs. challenge of WTO already, if there is a fault slightly, the disparity between the banks of China and foreign capitals will be bigger and bigger, its consequence is not only the state-run commercial bank will receive enormous impact, but also will delay the process of reform and development of our country , bring the serious consequence to whole national economic development. And promoting the core competence of the corporation effectively is the key of enhancing our four state-run banks' competitiveness. My thesis avoids studying the discussion about the key competitiveness of state-run commercial banks with financial methods, and will discuss the aspect of management especially, " Enterprise " will become the breakthrough point of the state-run commercial banks; And using the analysis of the present modes and the threat to state-run commercial bank, we can find the positive position of the core competence of the commercial banks; then we can conclude the measures of enhancing and rebuilding the corn competence. This research aims at realizing the localization of the core competence of the state-run commercial bank accurately and effectively, and then increase the means of the promoting the competitiveness for the reform of the state-run commercial bank, finally promote the improvement of bank's whole interests of our country .First part, this thesis introduces the researching background, researching purpose and researching route. The main content is under the opening of the Chinese banking to the foreign capital banks in an all-round way, the obvious uncompetitivereality will exist soon, therefore four major state-run commercial banks have begin relevant actions to face the competition then to improve the core competence.Second part, this thesis introduces the theory of the core competence of state-run commercial banks. Started with the analysis of the theories about competitiveness and the core competence competitiveness , this article have introduced the definition , characteristic , relevant theories and the problems in this theoretical research especially; Then combined with the state-run bank's real conditions of our country , I drawn the definition and frame of the core competence in state-run commercial bank .The third part ,This thesis introduces the current situation of the core competence of the state-run commercial bank at first, and on this basis carried on the detail analysis about the positive of the core competence of the state-run commercial bank, then draw these conclusions about state-run commercial bank : " having not strengthen their ' enterprise ' identity , lacking of the ability of meeting market mechanism " , " the ability of getting profit is weak , lacking of the effective and competitive methods to compete " and " measure of guarantee without long-term development "lacking of measure and motion to develop itself continuously".The fourth part, this thesis explains the author's measures about promotion and rebuilding the core competence of state-run commercial bank. First of all, the bank should perfect the corporate governance structure. Secondly, the bank should launch it's innovation with marketing measures in every part.
