Entering 1990's along with the developing of worldwide capital market, Investment banking, an important intermediary institution and a major part in capital market, is increasingly internationalized with more and more transnational security-service business. Transnational investment banking needs to be efficiently supervised with regard to its decisive role in the development of international finance market and the security of international finance system as well as the high risk of security business. However, the supervision of transnational investment bank is underway with result of inefficient regulation, which lags the development of security market. Therefore, it is indispensable to improve the supervision of transnational investment banking through unilateral, bilateral and multilateral studying in accordance with its nature to promote its internationalization. And as the implementing of the Protocol of China's Entry into WTO in terms of opening China's security market to foreign countries and the internationalization of security market, China's transnational investment banking will come into the state of rapid development from the present situation of underdevelopment. Thus, also in consideration of China's poor supervision, China should improve transnational investment banking supervision, in combination with other countries' and international originations' experience and the internationalization trend of investment banking.In this paper, firstly, the author analyzes the basic points of transnational investment banking supervision, including the conceptions of transnational investment bank and its supervision, and the theories, the objects, the principles and the contents of transnational investment banking supervision as well. Secondly, the author systematically studies the unilateral, bilateral and multilateral supervision of transnational investment banking through the methods of comparison, logic and conclusion according to the essential characteristics of transnationalinvestment banking. Lastly, the author analyzes the subjects, the law system and content of China's present transnational investment bank supervision, and, combining the trend of the unilateral, bilateral and multilateral supervision of transnational investment banking, provides the suggestions of improving China's transnational investment banking supervision.
