Research, Intellectual Property-based Enterprise Core Competencies

The core ability theory is based on the analysis on the enterprise competitive advantage especially on the continuous competitive advantage fountain. As the merger of economics as its theory basis and the strategic management research which emphasizes a practical theory explaining the interior essence of an enterprise, it is a new enterprise-analysis theory. All the multinational corporations have strong core ability and pay much attention to the unceasing application and the enhancement of the core ability.Along with the world economics' integration, the Chinese enterprises also speed up the step to participate in the world competition. But the present situation of enterprise competitive power in our country is: During the developing process, many enterprises applied the core ability theory and developed into the world-famous enterprises, for example Haire, gland Shi and so on, while the Chinese enterprises' overall competitive power are still weak. Although more and more enterprises entered the World's Top 500, they are still backward in competitive power and the profit ability compared with these famous multinational corporations and most of them are administrative companies or the state-owned sole ownership companies. Some enterprises decline one after another after getting to their peaks, for example, Jinan Sanzhu, Zhuhai Giants and so on. Therefore the Chinese enterprises still need to take some effective methods to enhance the enterprise' core ability so that they can stand firmly in the world.We have already marched into the knowledge economy time in the 21st century, and the knowledge economy and the intellectual property relate to each other naturally. The knowledge economy is the property economy and the traffic regulations in knowledge economy time as well. The intellectual property is becoming the main method and the tool in various countries and the enterprises in their synthesis strength competition. The developed countries are developing based on intellectual property instead of the science and technology. Therefore the present thesis does research on the core ability on the basis of intellectual property.This thesis mainly includes 5 chapters. The first chapter is the summary of theenterprise core ability theory. The enterprise core ability theory origin is introduced from the angle of economics and the management science, the present situation home and abroad and the characteristic of the core ability summarized. This chapter also explains the theoretical and practical function.The second chapter is the explanation on the enterprise core ability from the angle of the intellectual property, namely the core ability characteristic and core ability realization way.The third chapter provides the function of the intellectual property on forming the enterprise core ability, from the angle of the system, the strategy, the element of production, and the intellectual property protection respectively.The fourth chapter mainly studies the ways and the patent strategies, trademark strategies and business secret strategies forming the enterprise core ability.The fifth chapter is the case analysis. Taking China's Haire and Japan's Toyota car company as the example, it explains how they do form the enterprise using the intellectual property the core ability.
