Industrial clustering is the catalytic agent for enterprises to have competitive advantages by way of clustering reaction. Poter' s Diamond Model theory is emphasized in this part. The theory puts forward the main conditions which affects the development of industry: the factor condition, the demand condition, the related and supporting industries, the firm strategy, structure and rivalry. The four conditions can, by matching with one another, create a dynamic, encouraging and fierce competitive commercial environment. In addition, there are two other assistant factors: government and opportunities. These two factors and the above four factors provide a fine surroundings to promote the competitiveness of enterprises or industries.The following parts applies the Diamond Model to analyse the advantages of the ultra hard material industrial in Zhengzhou and to choose the development models.The second part applies the Diamond Model to make analysis to the competitiveness, benefit and shortcomings of the ultra hard industry of Zhengzhou.
