In order to unveil the right of self-determination claimed by Taiwan secessionists, this article has carried a comprehensive research on its history and theoretical content. It consists of preface and four successive parts. The preface offers a brief explanation on the aim and significance, author's research method and previous achievements of other researchers. The following four parts is the core of the article, with scientific definition of people's right of self-determination. The article divides the history of people's right of self-determination in Taiwan into three periods and figures out the very root of its development. Upon the basis, it further explores the fact that Taiwan belongs to China through the perspective of Taiwan's history and international law. Further more, solid examples are given to prove that Taiwan doesn't have the right of self-determination as the secessionists claim. In the last part, the article pointed out the true aim of "Taiwan independence"secessionists who claim the right of self-determination -they want Taiwan to secede from China through the actually non-exist right. This article refutes their theoretical basis, and call on all the Chinese people to stop them from doing it.
