Juvenile Correctional Officers Personality Traits And Interpersonal Trust,

Juvenile delinquency has become the serious social problem, to study the Personality Characteristics and Interpersonal Trust as well as the correlation of them is both objective necessary for promoting Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquent's mentality health and important research which sets up the system to prevent the juvenile from delinquency. Investigation of Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and Interpersonal Trust Scales (ITS) were performed on the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents who were incarcerated in Henan Incarcerated Management from October, 2004 to March, 2005 to explore and discuss their Personality Characteristic and Interpersonal Trust as well as its correlation.It turns out that Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents' L scores were significant lower, E scores were normal score, N, P and ITS scores were significant higher compared with that in the national normal models. It is indicated that their personality distribution showed significant difference from the normal, mainly characterized as N and P psychological traits and the Interpersonal trust higher. L and E dimension of EPQ were significantly negatively correlated to the dimensions of ITS, but N and P dimension of EPQ were significantly positively correlated to the dimensions of ITS.The coordination of the Personality Characteristic and the Interpersonal Trust is one of the factors in the individual development. Personality Characteristic's stable development can enhance the Interpersonal Trust, the later can impel the formation and development of the former. The disparity between the individual Personality Characteristic provides the relative reference for the study of Interpersonal Trust, furthermore, the study ofInterpersonal Trust provides the new view and thinking for the study of Personality Characteristic.This research puts the Interpersonal Trust under the Personality Characteristic background, combines the theories analysis with practice on the Correlative Research, takes evaluation as the target to deep into the discussion, studies the special significance and the system function on the Interpersonal Trust, mental and body health, social adaptation, the social behavior etc. of the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents.This research not only puts forward the classification principle of correction aimed at the dissimilar personality type of the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents, but also the special mental health education mode. On one hand we can predict the perspective of Interpersonal Trust by Personality Characteristic of the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents, find out the valid forms and methods to promote the Interpersonal Trust. On the other hand, we can studying the existing Interpersonal Trust and Association of the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquent to urge the maturity of the Personality Characteristic.It's hoped that this research can accumulate data on the mental health development of the Incarcerated Juvenile Delinquents for the following research, benefit some departments to apocalypse and refer lessons from the point of psychology view, provide a beneficial reference for society, school, family and all aspects to prevent the juvenile delinquency .
