Ecological Migration Project Assessment Study

The condition of desertification in our country becomes more and more serious, which causes attention of the whole society. In order to improve the ecological environment and improve the living standard of our people, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has carried on massive eco- migration from 2001 in bad ecology environment regions where desertification, grassland degradation and soil erosion are very serious. Eco-migration, as a solution policy has been widely used in ecological protection in recent years.At the same time, the academia has paid more and more attention to the eco-migration; scholars in relevant area have made considerable research findings. The research findings include the definition and meaning of eco-migration, the feasibility and need of eco-migration, the styles and results, existing problems and solutions. But as a great investment project, as to the achieved degree (including ecological environment and migrant life) of eco-migration desired goal, there is not a certain evaluation standard, and what's more there is little such kind of research ever before.
