Since The Founding Of The Party Construction History

The Sixteenth National People's Congress puts forward the task of strengthening the CPC's ability of administration in the new situation, which is also the focus of the Fourth Plenary Sessions of the Sixteenth CPC Central Committee. The situation of the Party's construction in higher education institutes in the Party's construction as a whole relates not only to the long-term development in higher education, but also to the long-term development of the Party and the nation. The historical position and the theoretical and realistic significance of the Party's construction in higher education institutes only can be fully realized by reviewing the history of the Party's construction and concerning the life-and-death of the Party.This paper defines the general concept of "CPC's construction in higher education institutes", and points out that it is the important part of higher education and the nucleus of the Party's construction as a whole. This paper also puts forward the concept of "the history of the Party's construction in higher education institutes" and states the reasons of researching it after the foundation of the country. The importance and necessity of strengthening and improving the Party's construction in higher education institutes are concluded by primarily analyzing the historical relations between CPC and higher education institutes, by dividing historical stages of the Party's construction after the foundation of the country and reviewing the important historical events, and by concluding the positive and negative experiences and lessons of the Party's construction during more than fifty years.Guided by Marxism theory of the Party's construction, this paper focuses on the empirical analysis of the construction of the ideology, the organization, and the style of the Party in higher education institutes through the historical analysis and the combination of history and theory. It points out the essential and the task of the Party's ideological construction in higher education institutes and its great achievements after the foundation of the country. The organization construction in higher education institutes must emphasize the grass-root party organization construction and the full exertion of the function of the party branch as the fighting fort. It also requires working hard on developing party members from young teachers and excellent university students, with the emphases on the development of university students and the importance of strengthening the Party's style construction in higher education institutes.This paper considers that "peaceful evolution", "diversified culture", "two-edged internet", and "over-centralized fortune" will bring new challenges to the Party's construction in higher education institutes through objective analysis of the new situation that the Party's construction faces. It points out that the tendency of centralization of higher education institutes' social and economical position must be strengthened, the nucleus position of the Party's construction in higher education institutes must be consolidated, and the long effect mechanism of ensuring its members retain good party traditions must be established.Finally, this paper indicates that historical research needs to"meet practical needs" besides "pursue the truth". The awareness of the significance of the Party's construction history in higher education institutes is inevitable, but is a process.
