Contemporary Families Of Minors Moral Education Research

Family is the foundation of the society, an important environment for the living and growth of the minor, and also holds a meaningful position for the moral education for the minor. And the condition of this education not just has a great influence upon the healthy growth of the minor and the harmony of the family, but also effects the establishment of fine social customs and the stability of the nation. However, with the transformation of Chinese society, family moral education faces various challenges coming from social environment, parents and the minor himself, so how to let family moral education perform its proper function is the key question this paper will deal with.The first part of this paper discusses the historical status and the current meaning of family moral education (FME). First, it gives the definition of the minor and FME, and then it describes the status of FME from a historical perspective. And finally this paper expatiates on the current implication of FME from the angle of the individual development and the advancement of social culture.The second part of this paper gives an in-depth situation analysis of current FME for the minor. On the one hand, it discusses the achievements in current FME, and on the other hand, it also exhibits the challenges and problem existing in current FME.The third part of this paper proposes the suggestions for the improvement and enhancement of FME in New Time, which includes building up the new moral education notion of People-Centered and Full Development, totally improving the parents' quality in moral, science, culture, psychology and the ability to teach the young, creating a harmonious family environment actively, enriching the contents of the current FME, taking various methods to make the FME effective, and enhancing its contact with school and society to improve its pertinence, etc.
