China's Current Rural Political Communication Analysis, And Countermeasures

Being a signified method in Western Politics research, political communication approach provides new methodology to Chinese political research, of which the very key issue is the investigation concerning rural areas. With the increasing changing and transferring of information in our modern society, the attention paid on the rural political communication is of more significant meaning. Depending on political communication, rural people can better understand the drafting process and execution status of governmental policies, and meanwhile, the governors can comprehend rural people's viewpoints of politics and public affairs. That is to say, rural political development in our country directly relies on the improvement of the operation system in rural political communication.In this thesis, political communication research method is adopted to analyze the problems occurring in rural political communication. First, the birth of western political communication theory is introduced and its analyzing angle is summed up. Second, based on the frame of David Easton's theory of political system, a simple analysis model of political communication is established. With the application of this model to the research of rural political communication operation, an improved analysis model of rural political communication is formed. Third, after discussing the factors and characteristics of rural political communication, the main problems and the cause for these problems are dug out. Last but not the least, a couple of feasible suggestions and countermeasures are put forward from internal and external aspects of political communication operation, to improve rural political communication status quo.
