The Tibet issue is an important factor which affects on the healthy development of Sino-EU relations. The European countries have intensified interferences to the Tibet issue since 1987. On the basis of referring to existing research results, this article tries to tracing how European parliament and governments have interfered in Tibet issue during years of 1987-2007, and analyzes factors influencing European policies to Tibet on the levels of historical recognition,realist political interests and other interest groups. This article includes five chapters as follows:Chapter I analyzes the origin of the Tibet issue and policies of European parliaments and governments on Tibet issue since 1980s. It was English colonists that started the Tibet issue. European parliament, EU governments and parliaments in their countries are the main bodies to interfere the Tibet issue. Chapter II focuses on the historical recognition factors that affect European policies to Tibet. Chapter III discusses realist political interests influencing European interferes on international and domestic levels. Chapter IV expounds some nongovernmental factors, such as media, nongovernmental organizations, and the 14th Dalai Lama. Chapter V is the conclusion of the article, which discusses the measures China should take to solve the Tibet issue, so as to reduce the bad influences on Sino-EU relations. It includes: promoting understanding and interaction between European countries and China, safeguarding our state sovereignty and territorial integrity with firm resolve, enhancing foreign propaganda, mastering discourse power, and making further improvement on social development and living levels in Tibet.According to the article, we should not only pay attention to promote understanding and interaction between European countries and China,but also consider influences from medias, nongovernmental organizations and the 14th Dalai Lama. To analysis the Tibet issue in Sino-EU relations deeply, is benefit for reducing bad effects in bilateral relations,which makes Tibet a good platform.
