Since the end of the 20th century, some left wing leaders in Latin America have come to power one after another through election. Since these left-wing leaders took office, they have made some proposals such as the "21st century socialism," "community socialism", "labor socialism" .they have also put these ideas into practice, and made some reforms in domestic politics and economy to a different extent, which aroused wide attention of the whole world. This paper introduces the specific ideas of these"socialisms", and the main contents put forward by the Latin American leftists, and the concrete practice. And it also makes a comparison between these"socialisms"and the scientific socialism. The thesis includes a preface and the body. The preface makes a brief introduction about the significance of the topic, the current status of the academic research and the innovation of the article. And the text is divided into 3 parts. The first part is mainly about what is left wing in Latin America and the historical background of the rise of Latin American leftists, as well as the process of its formation and development. About because no certain standards of definition of the Latin American left in Latin American countries are established, there are different interpretations about the Latin American left. This section describes several of the definitions of Latin American leftists at home and abroad, and tries to define the leftists in Latin America. In this paper, the Latin American leftists mainly includes Latin American Communist Party, the Social Democratic party, some other left-wing political parties, organizations, social movements, and leftists. The formation of the Latin American left has its specific historical background and the tortuous process of development. The rise of Latin American leftists have some reasons including both foreign and domestic factors, historical reasons and the reason of the reality, political and institutional factors, economic and ideological factors. The rise of left-wing has some important background such as the decline of Latin American traditional political parties, the restore of the bourgeois democratic system, the fail of the neo-liberal economic policies, the United States'hegemonic policies to Latin America, as well as the development of Populism in Latin America. The second part is an introduction of the main political ideas and practice of the Latin American left-wing. In recent years, the Latin American left-wing governments strengthen the country's macro-control functions through the adjustment of neo-liberal policies. when developing the economy , the Latin American left-wing governments make efforts to address the polarization between rich and poor , solve social issues, in order to promote Latin America's political, economic and social positive changes in favor of democracy, justice and development. Venezuela is the most representative of the ruling left-wing country, the drastic reforms of which caused wide concern. The political, social, and economic reform of Venezuela Chavez Government is to implement bold, fierce attempt. Venezuela advocated the building of 21st century socialism. December 2005, the Bolivian left-wing"for the socialist movement" leader Evo Morales won the election, who proposed to build a community socialism or Indian socialism. Brazil is a big country in South America. Lula, the leader of Brazil advocated the establishment of labor socialism , and the socialist reform is relatively moderate. The third part is the assessment of Latin American leftists. It describes the main idea of the Latin American left-wing and the similarities and differences between scientific socialism and the Latin American left-wing's thought, as well as the revelation the Latin American leftists provided for China's socialist construction. Latin American left-wing has parallels with the socialism in the following aspects as to the criticism of capitalism, the concern about the bottom of people's life, but also a big gap between the two. They are very different whether in the guiding ideology, leadership, the way of changing the production relations or goal, therefore not equal at all. Theory is to better guide the practice, and the Latin American left-wing's theory and practice will undoubtedly have an important role in the Enlightenment for the modernization of our country.Generally speaking, the theory of the Latin American leftists is not systematic yet. Therefore, with the Marxism point of view of development, we should make continuous attention and research of the idea of Latin American leftist and its tendency of development as to serve for the construction of our country's socialist modernization.
