Sino-pakistani Relations In The New Era Facing The Challenges And Strategies To Deal With

China and Pakistan has established diplomatic ties more than 50 years since 1951. In this fifty-odd years, China and Pakistan have formed all-weather friendship and all-round cooperative partnership, which have become a friendly coexistence model between countries of different systems. However, with the end of the Cold War and the advent of the era of economic globalization, inter-State relations have changed dramatically. The traditional friendship between China and Pakistan face up some enormous challenges, and needs re-positioning and adjustment. Pakistan is our important neighbor, which has a special status in the Muslim world, and has great strategic value of its geographical location. Further consolidating and developing China-Pakistan relations is not only the need for shaping a good external environment for the stability of the surrounding areas of China, the reform and opening up and modernization, but also the strategic need for committing to the achievement of China's peaceful rise. Therefore, doing a good job in the new era of relations with Pakistan was extremely special and important. China should be required to consider the development of Pakistan's strategy and take full use of this card. In this paper, The author puts forward some measures and strategies for developing Sino-Pakistani relations in a new era through analyzing the history and the challenges of Sino-Pakistani relations, hoping to provide reference for the deep development of China-Pakistan all-weather, all-round relations.This article can be divided into the following four parts:Part one is introduction. The author discusses the intention research significance about the main topics, introduces the current domestic and international research on this topic, and put forward the research methods and characteristics of the article.Secondly, China-Pakistan friendly relations are the common choice of the two peoples. In this section, the author clarifies the establishment, upgrading, development, the solid process of the Sino-Pakistan relations and deep-seated reasons through the historical analysis of friendly relations between China and Pakistan. Moreover, the author believes the all-round friendly relations between China and Pakistan are the results of the two countries' leaders and people's hard earned, careful maintenance. The development of friendly relations between China and Pakistan is not an expedient measure, but the two peoples' common choice on the base of the mutual understanding, mutual respect, and mutual needs.Thirdly, Sino-Pakistani relations are facing up challenges in new era. With the end of the Cold War and the rapid development of economic globalization, the world situation has changed dramatically. Sino-Pakistani relations also face a number of structural problems in the new world situation, such as the weak economic foundation, the lack of civil and cultural exchanges, the impact of restructuring and changes between India and Pakistan, China and Pakistan, US-Pakistan bilateral relations on the development of Sino-Pakistani relations. These problems can not impact the overall situation of friendly relations between China and Pakistan in a short period of time, but are likely to affect the future direction of the two sides. So we should attach great importance to our relations and take corresponding measures.Part four is China's Strategic Choice, which is the core of the article. Pakistan is of great strategic value to China. Therefore, laying a good card Pakistan concerns the distribution of China's South Asia, going into the world and achieving the strategic objectives of the rise of China. To maintain and develop the overall friendly relations between China and Pakistan will benefit not only our present generations but also future generations. To this end, facing many problems and challenges of the two countries' relations, the author made a number of strategic recommendations: taking use of Pakistan's geo-political advantages, by way of the Indian Ocean, building energy and trade corridor, promoting policies in South Asia and Central Asia to combat the three forces and enhance the exchange with the Arab world; Enhancing economic and trade relations between China and Pakistan, strengthening non-governmental and cultural exchanges to build a strong friendly ties; strengthening political exchanges and security dialogues to handle the major issues the two countries facing up; Carefully constructing triangular relationship of Chin-India-Pakistan, China-Pakistan-US to deal with the challenges of external forces. As long as the two countries can work together and benefit each other, the friendly relations between China and Pakistan will last forever in the history inertial and the stimulation of common interests.
