American Jews In World War Ii. Analysis Of Political Participation

On the Political Participation of American Jews after World WarⅡ, American Jews take full advantage of the wide range of political participation in American society. They participate American politics with positive and effective way, and have achieved more successfully in the political area than other ethnic minorities in USA. American Jews have strong liberal tendencies in politics. They have great influence in the political process in USA, especially in the Middle East diplomatic policies. American Jews not only take active and effective participation in political, but also protect their own interests. So, American Jews integrate into the American society better and better.The dissertation discusses the political participation of American Jews after World WarⅡ. There are three chapters in this paper. Chapter one analyses the reasons of American Jews participating politics. The reasons are the economic background of American Jews, American Jew's strong awareness of political participation, and American providing a system platform for Jews. Chapter two explains American Jew's three ways to participate politics, including personal campaign politics, Jewish interest group and Jewish votes. Chapter three summarizes three features of American Jewish political participation. Compared with other ethnic minorities in USA, American Jews are more active in politics, and getting prominent achievements in the political area. American Jews have liberal tendency in political participation and confirmedly support for Israel.Being a minority in USA, the Jews play an important role in the political arena. They are not commensurate with their scale, such as interfering with American foreign policy, especially in Middle East policy. The American Jewish lobby concerns with the interests of Israel and American Jewish even at the expense of the national interests in USA. This concept is not conducive to the American Jewish political participation in the long run. American Jews should defend its interests without compromising American interests. So, they would make more progress in American politics.
