The Chinese Nationalist Party Itself Changes In Taiwan's Party Politics

Chinese Kuomintang(the KMT), the only party which spans three centuries in China, lost the national authority after 22 years in 1949,because of ignoring the laws on governance, ossifying thinking, slacking organization and corrupting style. After getting away to Taiwan, the KMT had been so bold in the reform that Taiwan became one of Asia's four Little Dragons. However, the inner-party reforms were far behind socioeconomic reforms, such as eliminating demands for liberal democracy, discombobulating thoughts, struggling with each other, and corrupting. All above helped the counterforce defeated the KMT in 2000, whose mistakes imposed lots of loss on itself.However, after going through the pains, the KMT which full of inertia reformed in the ideas, behavior and images of governance sincerely, then seized back the power in 2008. Looking back in the past 60 years, The KMT reformed itself in ideology, personnel and competition strategy after political environment changes to push on progresses of itself and party politics in Taiwan. In this thesis, the main research methods applied include comparative, historical and positive analysis, aiming to give a fairly comprehensive study on the reformation of the KMT. The basic structure of the thesis is as follows:Introduction: Explain the reason of the article choosing issue, the significances of the study, and make brief review of the current research on it.Chapter1: Analyse the reformation of the KMT and its influences during the period of authoritarian state collapsing.Chapter2: Analyse the reformation of the KMT and its influences during the period of multivariate politics rising. Chapter3: Analyse the reformation of the KMT and its influences during the period of democratic politics.Chapter4: Draw some conclusions on how the CPC promote ruling.
