Since the end of the Cold War, the international environment has undergone profound changes, mainly including the changes of the international system, the international financial crisis under the globalization, and the Bush and Obama administration's foreign policies on Middle East, which have important influence on Muslim world of the Middle East. This influence and the impact on Muslim world of the Middle East have an effect on the development of political and social thought of Muslim world of the Middle East. The new changes and a new trend of the development of political and social thought of Muslim world of the Middle East have taken place against the backdrop of profound changes of international environment. The new changes are reflected in the self-adjustment of the nationalism and the modern Islamism in Muslim world of the Middle East, from simply focus on the modern or traditional to focus on both, and the emergence of "Centrism" as the representative of the new political and social thought of Muslim world of the Middle East. The new trend is manifested that the social and political thought in the Muslim world of the Middle East increasingly emphasize the "moderate" ideology, to avoid the extreme ideas, and to seek the balance and coordinated development of traditional and modern, religious and secular. The new changes and the new trend of the political and social thought of Muslim world of the Middle East are further reflected in the changes of political practice of Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran. Although the changes of the four countries in political practice are different, there is one common characteristic, that is, the four countries are all trying to get rid of the sheer secularism or sheer Islamism model of development in twentieth century, looking for a "middle" road that religious and secular, traditional and modern, are developing in a balance and coordinated way. This is the needs in political practice of current Muslim countries of the Middle East, but also a reflection of the new changes and new trend of social and political thought of Muslim world of the Middle East in political practice of Muslim countries of the Middle East. The political practice of Muslim world of the Middle East in twentieth century has shown that the secular cannot replace religion, and religion cannot replace the secular. In fact, the religious and secular, traditional and modern are interdependence in Muslim world of the Middle East. The Islamic world should make the two mutual tolerance, mutual co-ordination, and common development, and take a prudent "middle way" in order to ultimately achieve a true renaissance of Islam Civilization.
