Formation And Development Of The United Russia Party

After won the fifth State Duma elections and got more than two-thirds of seats in 2007, the United Russia has been the first "regime party" during the past two decades in the history of Russian Federation, which made sure that the highest power can control the State Duma effectively. With the development of the friendly relations between China and Russia, the strategic interests between the two countries become closer and closer. The further research to the "regime party" of Russia is closely related to China's national interests and national security .In the practical interactions of international politics, as well as regional studies or country studies, the research of political parties always use the way of historical research and focus on the formation and development of ideology, the operation and transformation of decision-making mechanism, the problems it may encounter and the measures it may take to solve them. However, this paper will use another methodology and try to find a different way to analyse the "regime party". Started with the United Russia's public data analysis, particularly on its cadres' constitution, the paper focuses on the research about the changing competition power of the Russian political parties acted in the State Duma election and tries to define the structural model of the Russian State Duma. The paper also uses some theories on Industrial Organization and Structure in Western Economies Studies and the methodology of game theory to predict the strategic development expectation in decision-making process of political parties.
