On The Political Apathy Of The Citizens Of Our Society In Transition

At present, China is in social transition, including institutional restructuring, changes in social structure and social patterns. Reform is the most obvious characteristics of the times, the deepening of reform and political modernization to promote goals; we need the active participation of citizens. Political participation is the basic political rights of citizens, it is not only an important driving force of democratic development, but also an important source of political legitimacy and an important means of restricting public power, expanding political participation and political development and political modernization is an important goal. Since the reform and opening up, the political participation of our citizens have made important progress, but because many factors, there is still a current phenomenon of political apathy, a serious impediment to the democratic process and political development in China.
