The Study, Based On Citizen Participation In Local Government Credibility

Public trust of the government appears as an important concept which measures the degree of the government credit. The decline of public trust of the government had become a problem which was boring many states in the world. With rapidly de-veloping of society and economics, the public trust of the government was becoming increasingly prominent. The dishonesty acts of government affected seriously con-struction of harmonious society in China. Improving public trust of the government has become a problem that requires urgent attention. Research on public trust of the government began 60s of last century oversea and obtained many results. But re-search on public trust of the government stared late in China and is fragmentary. The article will research into ways of improving public trust of government from the point of citizen participation.Starting from the concept of trust, the article study on history of trust and analy-sis the importance of public trust of the government for the whole community. How-ever , the declining public trust of our government has become a problem that couldn't be neglected. The main reason that caused low level of public trust is inade-quate citizen participation. To solve this problem, a series of interactive and coopera-tion mechanism should be established. The mechanism includes: fostering civil so-ciety, establishing expression mechanism of public opinion, improving government response mechanism.At the same time, a corresponding supporting mechanism should be established. Such as, legal guarantee system, carries of government response, human environment.
