The Post-cold War Cultural Diplomacy, Strategic Studies

In recent years, researching to international relations and national polices from culture has been paid more and more attentions, which not only help scholars to explore their eyes and research aspects, but in favor of explaining and studying complex international relations. America's diplomatic strategy on thought and culture exporting ideology and values to other countries has lasted for a long time. This cultural strategy has consisted of the organic constituents of the nation's overall strategy of America. The United States through carefully planned cultural strategy with clear purposes and specific means uses its resource to achieve its goals and gain benefits in the globe. In my thesis, I firstly identify the definition of culture in international politics and analyze the effects of cultural strategy and historic origin profoundly rooted in American historical experiences,beliefs and national myths. Meanwhile, I study works of contemporary scholars in America and summarize the cultural strategy of America.Through the analysis of the reasons of the development of American cultural diplomatic strategy and its organizations and bodies, the main content, worldwide influence of American foreign cultural strategy from the point of national strategy , promulgates the substantive characteristics of America's diplomatic. Base on such an analysis, a proposal of suggestions will be put forward for the development of the cultural diplomacy of China in such a new era.
