There is no denying that the quality-oriented education has enjoyed popular support and the theory has been universally accepted by teachers. Yet under the influence of social convention, the pressure of the college entrance examination and the social environment, a number of math teachers in high schools still stick to the exam-oriented education form in their teaching and lay stress on knowledge. However, there is a great shortage in the concentration on student's mood, emotion and psychology of learning, which, therefore, doesn't effectively stimulate students'motivation and initiative. In addition, students lack the time and space to communicate with each other.Students-centered education provides a fresh form of learning. Students, as the real master of the class, play the main role in their learning. They are encouraged to make assumptions, raise questions, and discuss with each other. In the course of learning, students will get their interest inspired, and the relationship between them and their teachers will get closer. in this way, not only can it help improve students'study interest and synthetic ability, but also it is of importance for students to improve their mathematical literacy.The body of the essay consists of the following four parts:Part 1 is about the background of the issue and the importance of the study.Part 2 is about the theoretical basis of student-centered education. It mainly includes the definition of the issue, the basic and the most important principle, that is the Pedagogy and the Curriculum. Besides, it presents that student-centered education is practical in the math teaching of high schools according to the demand and theory of the new curriculum.The third part says the research about high school mathematics classroom teaching under the theory of students in centre. This thesis mainly talks about the process and ways of teaching the Mathematical concept classes, rules classes, revision classes and paper. Here is one concrete teaching design of concept classes.The fourth part says the research of the mathematics teaching in high school. By carrying out experiments, this thesis brings out some problems in the mathematics classes.According to the theoretical investigation and surveys, I draw the following conclusions.First, by using the theory of students in centre,high school students can be more interested in learning mathematics, thus helping students getting into the habit of learning mathematics.Second, by using the theory of students in centre, the mathematical classes of high school can improve students' learning styles, and testsThe third, by using the theory of students in centre, the mathematical classes of high school can enhance the sense of learning, training the students to explore independently, cooperation and exchange of skills.
